Kornik - a town located 20 km far from Poznan. Its most valued historical building is a mid-14th century castle, with additions made in 1552 and mid-18th century. Currently, it is a romantic English Neo-Gothic residence. The castle houses a museum with rich holdings and a precious library. It is surrounded by a Medieval moat with a Neo-Gothic bridge. Nearby the castle is Poland’s largest arboretum with a collection of some 3000 species and varieties of trees and shrubs.

Rogalin – an impressive turn-of-the-18th-century palace of the Raczynski Family. This late Baroque/Classicist complex has been turned into a museum featuring a wide array of historical interiors, furniture as well as works of art and craft. The park features several hundred oak trees, including three famous ones named after Lech, Czech and Rus, the three forebear Slav brothers.
